Grass

Those facial expressions - she went down for a nap right after this

Last night, we let Addison touch the grass with her feet. She couldn't stop curling her toes. She loves to be outside. For some reason it really calms her down. She is taking in everything around her - trees, sounds, etc. Very curious.

Milestone: Turning Over

Deb - I think she has Jordan's eyes now

Another milestone has occurred it Addison's life.....she turned over 2 times in a row. Whooooa!

I was down on her pallet with her playing and stopped playing with her for about 2 minutes to watch the Ranger game, and she turned over while we weren't looking. Little toot. Since we didn't see it, I put her back on her belly and she did it again. I tried to see if she would do it a 3rd time, because we didn't get it on camera the other times. Of course, when the camera comes out she hides and gets shy. She had already turned over once in her crib last Friday, but this was the first time she had repeated it.

She is getting so strong; being able to turn over and life her head so high. She's almost able to really control her head when I'm holding her. Her head just gets tired after awhile and she lays it down on my shoulder (which I love). She grasp on to things with the mightiest grip.

She is the most precious thing. Jordan and I are really starting to enjoy her personality. She has the cutest little grin (one day we'll get it on camera).

3 Months Old

This was Addison's first time to ride on Mom's shoulders. Well, she quickly learned to hold on - to my hair. She was holding on for dear life. I had to get Jordan to help me get her down. After the ride it was time for a bath, and I soon found out while washing her hands that she had gathered quite a bit of hair off my head into her hands.

Life with her has been so much fun. It's so funny to watch and listen to. She talks constantly when she's on the floor playing. So much to say. Lol. I only wish that I could understand her. Jordan and I are so blessed to have a happy and healthy baby.

My Bouncer

This weekend, our family finally had some down time with just the three of us. We love seeing family and staying busy, but it's nice to have time with just your immediate family after a long work week. Addison was so good all weekend. It's was interesting trying to keep her entertained. I decided that we should pull out her bouncer and put it together and just see if she would fit in it.....of course not. We had to put 3 blankets around her to hold her up and a box underneath her feet so she could bounce. She looked like a sumo wrestler with all those blankets around her. I'm sure she thought....Mom, what are you doing to me?

So with time this weekend, Jordan and I were able to just stop and relax and really watch Addison. We noticed that she only has 4 indentions in her little arms instead of 5. She's really starting to grow (length wise). I think her eyes are going to be hazel; they change colors.

Addison will be 3 months on Thursday. Wow. It's amazing how times flies. She has advanced so much in such a short period of time. I really understand why I need to enjoy every minute.

With time, I think she'll really like it

We had to put something underneath the bouncer, b/c her feet couldn't reach the floor

Just Because

Jordan and I before Six Flags

Addison and her friend Belize

This weekend, Jordan's company (Atley Pharmaceuticals) had all of their reps on their team meet in Dallas to have a family weekend. Friday we went over to his boss' home and Addison played with Belize. It was so cute to see them play and talk with each other. Then on Saturday, we all went to Six Flags. It was so hot! It was great to meet all of Jordan's teammates and their families. What a wonderful company and group of people.

I love my mobile

Jordan loved this picture (wonder why?)

Our baby girl just loves to watch baseball, so we set her in her Bumbo to watch the game. She did pretty well at first with keeping her head up, but it eventually got too heavy. It was the cutest thing. She's growing up so fast. Her daddy is so excited that she enjoys watching sports, so they can hang out.

So I finally did it....I crossed over to the iPhone world. I got my new iPhone (3GS) on Tuesday. I think I'm really going to like it. It's just like my mac, so once I get used to it I'll be set. The screen makes the Blackberry seem so old school. I've still got a lot to learn about it - what it can/cannot do. My favorite feature so far is the video. I can video Addison and put it on the blog or email it. It will allow me to capture her without having to have the camera around. Technology is great!

11 Weeks

Miss Addison is 11 weeks old as of yesterday. She's growing up so fast. Here some things that she's doing now:

- Focusing very well on sounds, people, objects
- Cooing
- Smiling
- Loves to talk to her monkey (stuffed toy)
- Almost doesn't fit in her swaddle (currently in a small, but too small for a large)
- Sleeping about 8-9 hours/night
- Grabbing objects
- Getting on a schedule (thanks Alyson)
- Still loves the hair dryer
- Fights sleep to stay up and make sure she doesn't miss anything
- Doesn't fall asleep in the car anymore, too curious
- Recognizes me when I come home from work and smiles (this means a lot to me; never fails though, she wants to take a nap as soon as I get home)
- Wearing 3 month clothes
- Eating 4-5 ounces/feeding

I could go on and on. She amazes us each day. We definitely think she will be a determined little girl and slight ADD possibly. The girl cannot sit still for anything. She is constantly moving. I can only imagine when she starts crawling. I'll start praying now and probably need to start kid proofing the house.

Happy Anniversary!

Jordan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary yesterday! It's amazing how time flies. It has been an amazing four years-full of love and laughter. I look forward to what the future holds for us and our family. God has truly blessed our marriage.

I LOVE YOU JORDAN AUSTIN GRIFFIN!

Also this week, I went back to work. It hasn't been that bad. The first day was pretty rough, but I've gotten better. Of course I'd rather be home with Addison all day, but duty calls. I just get antsy around 3:00 at work to want to go home and grab her up and hold her. Alyson (mother in-law) has done a great job so far, and we are so fortunate to have her keeping Addison. Jordan has set up Skype on his computer at home, so I am able to see Addison during the day via internet. I just love technology.

Hope everyone has a great 4th of July!
