Memorial Day

For Memorial Day weekend, Jordan and I went to Oklahoma City.  The Big 12 baseball tournament was going on, and we just decided Friday night that we would go watch it and get out of town for the weekend.

Oklahoma is a beautiful state.  A lot of it is undeveloped and still  holds nature's footprint.

While we were in Oklahoma City, we decided to stop by and see the memorial for the Oklahoma City bombing.  Above are pictures of the memorial.  It is so beautiful and well thought out.  Everything in the memorial has  a meaning behind it.  A lot of time and effort was put into the project.  It really makes you realize how precious life is.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  What a great day to celebrate our mothers.  They do so much for us that there should be more than one day a year to celebrate their awesomeness!  Their unconditional love allows each child to grow up and become their own personality.  They love us no matter what we put them through.  God bless mothers.  Above in the pictures are the following (in no particular order, you can guess who's who): Bernie (Nana, G. Grandmother), Wilbert & Glenda (Papa & Meemee), Jimmy & Stacey (Grandaddy & MeeMaw), T.W. & Mandy, and William.  Jordan and I weren't there since we had just seen my mom and we needed to celebrate with his mom.  We love you all!

Generation After Generation

If you haven't already figured out, my parents live on a ranch out in New Boston, Texas (east Texas).  The work around the farm never ends, so the family is always busy doing something.  As you can see, William is learning early how to help out.  I wouldn't recommend a farm to someone unless they have a lot of time and a lot of family to help out.  There's a reason I moved to the city.

Kenny Chesney Concert

On Saturday, May 3rd my mom, Jordan, and I went to the Kenny Chesney concert at Pizza Hut Park.  Brooks and Dunn and LeAnn Rimes also performed before Kenny.  We went and tailgating with a group of friends before the concert began.  had a great time.  We were 23 rows back from the front of the stage.  Sometimes there are great benefits for working for Toyota.

Randi's Baby Shower

"Oh my gosh.  I don't know if I'm ready to have a baby yet."
This past Saturday, Jennifer and I hosted a baby shower for Mrs. Randi.  (Doesn't she look so cute?) The shower was at Tempest Tea in Dallas.  It was a cool, modern tea room.  We had finger foods and petit fours.  Randi received tons of gifts.  It made you realize how special she and Chris are to so many people.  Mason will definitely not be deprived of anything once he enters the world.  I know that Randi and Chris will be such wonderful, loving, fun parents.  Mason's friends will all be jealous of his cool parents.

Times like these, make you stop and notice how blessed our lives are with friends and family.  God continues to bless with surrounding us with such kind people.  Every day we should stop and thank God for brining each of those people into our lives.  God is good!

BLHS Auction

Francine, Rene, Michelle
Ryan and Maegan
Rene and Deborah
On April 5th, Jordan and I were asked to go to the Bishop Lynch Scholarship Auction by my uncle and boss, Rene.

Before we went to this event, there was an ordeal about what the attire was for the event.  The invitation said that it was Texas Tuxedo.  Well us girls didn't know if that meant a dress or jeans.  We were all confused, so we finally all decided that we could not go wrong with a dress.  Of course,  the guys got to wear jean, boot, and a sports jacket. As you can see in the pictures, we all looked presentable for the event.

One of the auction items up for bid was a trip to Cabo San Lucas.  I was strongly encouraging Rene to bid on it, so I could go.  I told him it could be my appreciation bonus.  Much to my surprise, he bid on the trip and got it.  Before we left for the evening, he gave Jordan and I the packet and said enjoy.  YIPEE!!!  So we are set to go to Cabo in August.  Jordan and I can't wait.  (Thanks a bunch Rene)
