Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl
Friday, April 23rd our baby girl turned 1 year old. Wow-how time flies. It seems like just the other day I was watching my family paint her nursery and getting ready for her arrival. What a sweet little girl that brightens up my heart every time I look at her. She's starting to get to the age where she looks deep into your eyes and you really feel like you're connecting on a mother-daughter basis.
On Saturday we had her birthday party at the house and enjoyed friends and family coming to help us celebrate.
Didn't like her hands getting dirty at all
"1st time to do this birthday thing - how does it go?"
So many presents given by such loving people - thank you
"I think I'm getting the hang of this"
Daddy's girl (one day I'll figure out how to rotate a picture)
Too sweet

We headed to the pediatricians office to do our 1 year checkup. I knew this was going to be an experience, because she was going to get four shots. It's not like she's 3 months and doesn't really get it. She got it this time. She knew the nurse's face and realized that she was up to no good. So four shots later and good overall health report, we are ready to start year 2 with Miss Addison. Here are just a few updates on Addison:
- Weight: 20.7 lbs, Length: 29" (25-50% on both)
- Loves her bunny (thanks Tammy)
- Not ready to walk at all, but will push her train and stroller all over the house
- Puts blocks in their correct shape
- Down to a bottle at morning and night, will be totally done by 13 months (Mommy's goal)
- Eating mainly table food
- Favorite food: any kind of bread, but especially raisin bread
- Prefers to be in the presence of Mom or Dad
- Loves bath time
- Loves her wagon
- Loves being outside (future bird watcher)
- Sleeps through the night
- Takes 2 naps/day

Baby #2
We cannot tell you how excited we are. When we found our we were pregnant with Addison, our hearts were just filled with excitement, nervousness, giddiness, and so much more. This time around, there is a different type of excitement. I always knew what a gift babies were, but I have become so much more appreciative for the gift of life that God gave us with Addison. God has shown me how he can love me through a child and how I can also love him through a child. For that, we cannot shout loud enough to say thank you Lord for this blessing.
We go to the doctor for our 8 week appointment on Thursday, April 29th. Please pray for a strong heartbeat. According to our home calculations, I'm due on December 10th.
4 Teeth
2 months after she got her 2nd bottom tooth, Addison now has 4 teeth. I had been watching her gums (white as could be) forever, just waiting. Then finally last Friday, I felt her top gums without a wash cloth. There they were.....her top two teeth. Picture to come!

Happy 1st Birthday Baby Girl
Here are some of Addison's 1st Birthday photos. We went over by Babe's in Frisco. A friend of ours, Kellie Rogers (www.kddiditphotography.com) did the pictures. They are awesome. Thank you so much Kellie for capturing our baby girl at one year old. We will never be able to replace those memories.

Headed East
This past weekend, we loaded up the car and headed to New Boston. Amanda Cox (friend thru HS & college and then college roommate) had her hometown shower. It was a perfect excuse for us to go see my family. Before we left on Thursday, Addison started getting a cough and runny nose. I just knew we had strep again, but nope we're good. She just has allergies and a cold. Lovely. Allergies and going to New Boston with lots of pine trees and sap. Not a good combination.
Nana let Addison ride on her walker down the hallway
Nana had to go show Addison off to all of her friends

2010 Easter
Easter is one of those times of the year, kind of like Christmas where you sit back and realize how much you have to be thankful for. I hope that if you are reading this, you are believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. For that for his resurrection, we may have eternal life.
Jordan and I had his family over for Easter lunch after church. Our family is such a blessing. It is great to be able to gather round the table and enjoy a good meal and fellowship. Addison got to enjoy stuff from the Easter bunny. I didn't do a very good job at picture taking for the holiday, but a few is better than none at all.
